Resurrection!

Well this has been lying inactive for a while.
I think it's about time things got a revamp and a resurrection.

Artscale Ultramarine Captain

Here's a finished Artscale Marine.  I originally envisaged him as a Captain, but having scaled back the plans to a combat squad, I guess he's just a Sergeant!

The last pic will give you an idea of the extra height gained over a "normal" space marine.

Artscale Ultramarines

This will be a little bit of a photo ramble - lots of pics, not much to say.  It's essentially where I'm at with a project I've been "working on" (I use the term working somewhat loosely......lol) for about a year and a half.

These are the beginnings of what is meant to be a combat squad of "Bigger", "Truescale" or "Artscale" Space Marines.  There's a lot of debate about whether or not these are acceptable in gaming terms, but who cares, they look seriously imposing on the table next to your runty guardsmen and spindly eldar - which is only right for an 8ft tall genhanced posthuman killing machine.

Anyway here are the pics - i'll try and at least put them in some semblance of Work in Progress order.  I'll post the completed Captain separately.

Completed Contemptor!

FINALLY..... The contemptor dreadnought has been finished.  This has been a great mini to paint, and given it's my first attempt at using the weathering powders and some different techniques for scratched and chipped paint, I think its come out quite well.

So without further ado, here are the pictures:

So that's the basic paint job done.  Still need to detail, weather and chip the armour.  But the end is in sight!
